Our call to action to "Pack the Auditorium" for the Board of County Commissioners on 1/20/2026 featured a very good turn out and some positive results. It seems obvious to us that our elected officials would support a Rule of Law resolution, but we know that progress and commitment by officials requires working with the procedures and also a lot of persistence. The Concerned Citizens of Washington County certainly have that quality, and our Indivisible Washington County activists showed up in support with personal and written testimony and even a few signs.

What's Next for the Resolution Project?

CCoWC members made some important headway in setting up future exploration by the Commission of this Resolution. They plan to attend a BCC work session in February and there are some encouraging signs that it might become an agenda item later in the Spring.
